ATC reserves verdict in cases against Jamshed Dasti
DERA GHAZI KHAN (92 News) – The anti-terrorism court (ATC) has on Monday reserved judgment in case related to Member National Assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti, who was arrested for forcibly opening canal in Muzaffargarh.
Member National Assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti was produced before the anti-terrorism court (ATC) under tight security.
The court heard the two case against the MNA.
During the proceedings, Jamshed Dasti informed the court about his reservations saying that he faced inhumane treatment in the jail adding that even watercooler wasn’t available in his barrack and he was kept separate from everyone else.
He said that he was not allowed to meet family members and friends.
The member national assembly said that he democratically protested in the parliament on the occasion of President’s address due to which he is being punished.
The court reserved the judgment while Jamshed Dasti was shifted to Central Jail Dera Ghazi Khan.
On the other hand, dozens of laborers staged a protest demonstration in favor of Member National Assembly Jashed Dasti in front of Ghotki Press Club.
The protesters chanted anti-Punjab government slogans and demanded the release of Jamshed Dasti.
The protesters termed Dasti as ‘voice of laborers’ and said that the Punjab government is trying to silence the voice of laborers.
