Body of Asad Murtaza Gillani repatriated from KSA
MULTAN (92 News) – The body of Asad Murtaza Gillani, nephew of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani, has been repatriated to Pakistan.
Asad Gilani was among the Hajj pilgrims martyred in Mina stampede. The ex-PM received the body of Murtaza Gilani at Multan airport.
The funeral prayers of Asad Murtaza Gillani will be offered at MCC Ground at 5:00pm today, while Asad Murtaza Gillani will be laid to rest in the compound of Darbar Moosa Pak Shaheed.
Former prime minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said that the treatment of Hajj pilgrims injured in Mina stampede, is the responsibility of the government.
Talking to media at Multan airport, he said that there was no clear policy of Saudi government regarding the repatriation of human remains due to which he had to face difficulty in repatriating his nephew’s body.
He further said that the government should help families of missing and martyred pilgrims.
