I-Day celebrations: Balochistan govt, Pak Army host sports gala

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – The Balochistan government and Pakistan Army have jointly organized different sports and education events in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.

Two such events Sports Festival and Education Gala were high mark of attraction for the youth.

In sports, matches of cricket, hockey, athletics, boxing, volleyball, throwball, football, badminton and tennis were played in which players from each and every district of Balochistan participated enthusiastically.

The education gala comprised of quiz competitions, story writing, essay writing english and urdu, poetry, photography, science and fine arts.

An Azadi Mela is also scheduled at Ayub Stadium. Nine youth groups as part of Karwan-e-Yakjheti are travelling to Quetta from Karachi, Lahore, Hyderabad, Lasbella, Turbat, Multan, Islamabad, Khuzdar and Peshawar. Azadi Parade will also be organized at Bugti Stadium, Quetta on August 13 night.
