Imran Khan says there are Gullus in Punjab police; approves party’s interim set-up
MARDAN (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has said that there are Gullus in the Punjab police, while the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police is the servant of the people.
Addressing a public meeting in Mardan on Wednesday, he approved the interim set-up of the PTI and appointed Shah Mahmood Qureshi as chief organizer and Jahangir Tareen as central organizer.
The PTI chairman said that the coming local bodies system has not been introduced in Pakistan before. “People will make their decisions and will not run after MNAs and MPAs with their applications.”
He linked progress to the local bodies elections. “There will be 45,000 representatives in the local bodies system,” he added.
He said that Mian Sahib will see a new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa if he will come out of the Governor House.
Imran Khan thanked the Election Commission of Pakistan for allowing him to meet the people.
He said that they will take the police to the district level.
Criticising the Awami National Party (ANP), he said Asfandyar Wali should listen that the tsunami has not ended, but it has started. “Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari have united in fear of tsunami,” he said.
The PTI chairman claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is ahead in the field of education.
He said that the dream of a new Pakistan will start from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Later addressing workers in Peshawar, Imran Khan reiterated that a new Pakistan will come into being this year. “This year is the year of the election.”
The PTI chairman said that it is a matter of happiness that the Zimbabwe team has come to play in Pakistan.
He said that he will further improve the hospitals after six months.
He asked the independent candidates to let PTI candidates to contest the local bodies elections.
