Iranian, Turkish FMs meet PM Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Iranian and Turkish Foreign Minister’s have called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by the Spokesman for Prime Minister House, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed regional law and order situation.

During the meeting, Turkish foreign minister said that Pakistan is their second home, adding that they appreciate Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace.

The prime minister said that Turkey is our reliable friend.

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zareef also called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The Iranian FM said that Iran is determined to work with Pakistan and Afghanistan to eliminate extremism and terrorism from the region. He lauded Pakistan for hosting Heart of Asia Conference to ensure peace and stability in the region.

Zareef said that we hope that all obstacles in the way of economic cooperation between the two countries will be removed after lifting of sanctions. “President Rohani will soon visit Pakistan,” he said.
