Nation to observe 70th Independence Day tomorrow
LAHORE (92 News) – Preparations are at climax to mark the 70th Independence Day in a befitting manner across the country on Sunday.
Houses, streets and bazaars have been decorated with buntings, banners and national flags.
Special stalls have been set up in markets and bazaars for sale of national flags and green caps which are making roaring business.
Various organizations and institutions have chalked out elaborate programs in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.
Meanwhile, the special Azadi train continuing its month long countrywide journey from Peshawar has now arrived at Rawalpindi Railway Station.
The Azadi train will leave Rawalpindi for Karachi on Monday.
Pakistan Railways has also decided to increase time and area of travelling of Azadi Special train to entertain maximum people.
Presiding over a meeting in Lahore, Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique directed the authorities to include Faisalabad and Sargodha section in the route of the train.
He also directed to ensure good entertainment and security of the people at the railway stations where the Azadi train will stop.
