35 killed, 70 injured in two blasts in Parachinar
PARACHINAR (92 News) – Thirty-five people were killed while over 70 others injured in two blasts one after another in Toori Market on Friday, said political authorities.
The second blast occurred when people were helping the injured after the first blast.
Emergency was declared in all hospitals. The injured are being shifted to different hospitals. Security forces have besieged the area.
According to the ISPR, two army aviation helicopters have been departed from Peshawar to Parachinar for speedy evacuation of injured to Peshawar.
Security Forces have cordoned off the area. Rescue operation in progress.
In a statement, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned terrorist attacks in Toori Bazar, Parachinar and directed the concerned authorities to beef up security across the country.
“Terrorists are attacking soft targets and no Muslim can ever imagine such horrific act. Such acts of terrorism will be dealt with full power of the state,” the prime minister reiterated.
He, while expressing deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the attack, prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and grant of courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.
The prime minister also prayed for swift recovery of those injured in the terrorist attacks.
