LAHORE (92 News) – A bail petition of ten thousands prisoners has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on medical grounds on Monday.

LHC Justice Rasaal Hasan Syed heard the bail petition of the prisoners. The plaintiff has taken the stance that the more than ten thousands prisoners are in jail across the country who suffering different types diseases.

The petitioner also stated that the prisoners have no facility for their proper treatment in the jails. In the bail petition, it is requested that the other prisoners should be granted bails on medical ground same like former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

On the other hand, another petition has been filed in the LHC to bar former prime minister Nawaz Sharif from going abroad. The petitioner adopted a stance that Nawaz Sharif was involved in money laundering and is facing multiple cases. Allowing Nawaz Sharif to travel abroad is discrimination against other ill inmates, the petition said.

“Nawaz Sharif is going out of the country as he wants to transfer his properties, made through laundered money, to his children who are settled abroad. He caused irreparable damage to the national exchequer.

“A money laundering case against Nawaz Sharif is pending at the Lahore High Court; therefore, the permission to travel abroad should be conditional to the LHC directives. He should be barred from leaving Pakistan until the court order.”

Earlier, medical board of government, comprising doctors from the Services Hospital, on Monday again recommended former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s treatment from abroad.

According to the details garnered, the medical board headed by Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has also declares Nawaz Sharif’s health critical. The board also informed that the platelets count of the former prime minster continues to drop and reached the level of 18000.

The board also mentioned that Nawaz Sharif needs all medical facilities at one place which are not available in Pakistan including some tests.

Earlier in the day, the former prime minister’s  ticket to London for medical treatment has been cancelled on Monday due to delay in excluding his name from exit control list (ECL).
