23 killed, several injured in suicide blast during females’ procession in Jacobabad
JACOBABAD (92 News) – Twenty-three people were killed while several others injured in a suicide blast during a procession of females in Lashari Mohallah Jacobabad on Friday.
The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals.
The Sindh chief minister has condemned the blast in strongest terms and sought a report from the IGP.
After the blast, people staged a sit-in at DC Chowk and burnt several vehicles.
The police used teargas and aerial firing to disperse the protesters. The Rangers have taken control of the area.
Meanwhile, former presidents Asif Zardari and Pervez Musharraf and Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana have also condemned the blast.
