15 killed, 30 injured in Peshawar blast
PESHAWAR (92 News) – At least 15 people were killed and 30 others injured when a bomb exploded on a bus carrying government officials in the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
The blast occurred when the explosives planted in a bus went off as it was carrying government employees from Mardan to Peshawar and was transporting them to work in the city.
Security force reached the spot and cordoned off the area where the incident took place, while there are fears that the casualties toll could climb.
The rescue teams also arrived the spot and are shifting the bodies and injured to hospitals.
Political leaders including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq have strongly condemned the blast and expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives.
