15 suspect held for opening fire in Islamabad’s kutchery
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as 15 people were arrested after two groups opened fire on each other in Islamabad’s F-8 kutchery on Saturday.
According to the details garnered, the Islamabad IG took immediate notice of the incident at the F-8 kutchery and ordered Operations DIG Waqaruddin to take action.
The DIG arrived at the site to supervise the collection of evidence and on his orders, the Margala police arrested 15 people. However, weapons were confiscated from them and brought to the police station and two cars were impounded.
A case has been registered against the suspects under the Anti-Terrorism Act. The question rose how the weapons came under the jurisdiction of the local court. Meanwhile, the check-post’s police officials were suspended.
The investigation is being conducted to the matter.
