16-member delegation led by DG Punjab Rangers reaches India via Wahgah

LAHORE (92 News) – A 16-member delegation led by DG Rangers Punjab Maj-Gen Umar Farooq reached India through Wahgah Border on Wednesday.

The delegation will raise the issue of Indian aggression at Line of Control and Working Boundary.

Sources said that the officials of the Punjab and Sindh Rangers and Foreign Ministry were included in the delegation.

They said that the delegation would hold talks with the Indian authorities from September 9 to 13 in New Delhi.


They disclosed that issues of professional matters and border management would be discussed during the talks. “Smuggling and repatriation of people crossing the border mistakenly will be discussed during the meeting,” they said.

The meeting is held twice a year between the leaders of border forces of both countries under the agreement signed in 1961.
