16-member Rangers delegation expected to leave for New Delhi today

LAHORE (92 News) – Despite a recent setback to normalization efforts between Pakistan and India, a 16-member delegation headed by Director General Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Maj Gen Umar Farooq Burki is expected to travel to Wagah border today and later fly down from Amritsar to participate in the talks in New Delhi with the Border Security Force from 9-13 September.

The meeting between heads of border forces of both countries meets twice in a year which is being held under a border agreement signed in 1961.

A meeting was held yesterday at Wagah border between the officials of concerned forces to set the agenda of the meeting.
