2nd instalment of Panama Papers: Over 400 Pakistanis own offshore companies

LAHORE (92 News) – The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) published the second instalment of the Panama Papers, revealing over 400 Pakistanis owners of offshore companies.

The elite from Islamabad, Peshawar and Gujrat are among the owners of the offshore companies.

Over 150 citizens of Karachi also own offshore companies. Over 100 people belonging to Lahore own offshore companies.

Seven members of the Saifullah family are the owners of over 30 offshore companies.

Moonis Elahi, Senator Talah Mahmood, Samina Durrani, Aftab Lakhani, Javed Lakhani, Humayun Khan and Zain Iftikhar Sukhera are also among the owners of the offshore companies.


Pakistanis got registered 41 companies in Panama.

In the Panama Leaks Part-II, close friends of Imran Kham Asif Zardari and Altaf Hussain are on the list.

Benazir Bhutto’s cousin, Abdul Aleem Khan, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, her mother and the Seth Abid family are also among the owners of the offshore companies.
