Over 600 old books stolen from Iqbal Manzil in Sialkot
SIALKOT (92 News) – Over 600 rare books have been stolen from a museum at Iqbal Manzil – ancestral house of Hazrat Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
Iqbal Manzil In-charge Muhammad Nazir said that there were 3,804 books when he assumed the charge and now 604 books were missing.
“This count was after dispatching books to Javed Manzil and Shahi Fort,” he said.
He said that he had informed the Archaeology Department director in writing. “The stolen books include Kulyat-e-Iqbal, history, Islamic History, poetry and mysticism,” he added.
