6th population census begins
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The first phase of the 6th National Population Census has begun in 63 districts across the country from Wednesday (Tomorrow).
Houses will be counted during first three days, while forms will be filled during the next 10 days. A Pak Army soldier is accompanying each census official.
In this phase, the census will be conducted in 16 districts of Punjab, eight districts of Sindh, 14 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15 districts of Balochistan, five districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and five districts of Gilgit Baltistan.
In the second phase, the census will be conducted in 88 districts all across the country.
Moreover, section 144 has been imposed for census staff in Karachi, Hyderabad and Ghotki.
A Help Line 0800-57574 has also been set up for queries about the census process.
On the other hand, three teachers going for census training have been kidnapped by unknown people.
