71,684 pilgrims to perform Hajj under Government Scheme

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Computerized balloting or selection of 71,684 intending pilgrims for the next Hajj under the Government Scheme was held in Islamabad on Thursday.

Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf was the chief guest on the occasion.

In all, 143,368 Pakistanis would perform Hajj under the Government Scheme and through private operators.


Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that over 264,000 applications were received under the Government Scheme.

The applicants included over 116,000 women and 124,000 men.
