8.7 million Pakistanis received citizenship of different countries, says Sartaj Aziz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has on Wednesday said that 8.7 million Pakistanis have received citizenship of different countries after the Foreign Ministry submitted the data of Pakistanis living abroad in Senate session.

According to the written response, 8.7 million Pakistanis have got citizenship of different countries including 71,000 in Afghanistan, 1,75,000 in Canada, 14,000 in China, 10,000 in Australia, 35,000 in Denmmark and 1,10,000 in Azerbaijan have received citizenship.

Speaking in the Senate, he said that around 9,00,000 Pakistanis have been regularized in Saudi Arabia, adding that many countries have not been demanding labor manpower due to terrorism and drugs.
