90pc of fire on Margalla Hills extinguished: ISPR

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has said that 90 percent of fire on Margalla Hills has been extinguished.

He said that Army Aviation and PAF helicopters are continuing to extinguish the fire.

The DG ISPR said that 41 sorties carrying Bambi buckets were flown over the affected areas.

On Thursday, nine sorties carrying Bambi buckets were flown over Bari area affected by fire behind Bari Imam.


Earlier, fire erupted on Margalla Hills near Syedpur Pass. Smoke and flames could be seen miles away from the site.
