LAHORE (92 News) – Justice Gulzar Ahmed of the Supreme Court has said that a half of the population comprises of women who have no representation in the judiciary as per their ratio. Addressing the third Women Judges Conference on Friday, he said that steps will have to be taken to increase number of women judges. “Women are not only playing a role in the progress of the country but also playing a key role in the judiciary,” he said. Justice Gulzar Ahmed said that the Punjab Judicial Academy is playing an important role in the training of women judges. He welcomed the conduct of Women Judges Conference. “I congratulate the Lahore High Court and Punjab Judicial Academy for conducting this key event,” he said. He said that it is an honour to participate in the third Women Judges Conference.
