KARACHI (92 News) – To invigorate the process of effective communication, Kashif Shamim Siddiqui, District Coordination Officer (DCO), Accelerated Action Plan (AAP) visited AAP-Livestock office on Thursday.
Kashif held an important discussion with Dr Nazeer Hussain Kalhoro, Programme Coordinator in AAP-Livestock.
“How AAP-Livestock can play its part to make District Coordination Committee for Nutrition (DCCN) more and more successful,” it was the crux of the discussion.
In various districts of Sindh, DCCN is a platform where all stakeholders of AAP sit together for a great cause that is all about “Existence of Malnutrition” among women and children.
While talking to Kashif, Dr Kalhoro highlighted: “A total number of 10,725 poor people from vulnerable communities have received 10 hens and five goats each. In 22 districts, there are 36 cold storage deep freezers working on the solar system.”
He said that so far 55,700 animals have been vaccinated. “Moreover, 133,244 people have been imparted training on livestock. The training has brought a positive change in the lives of the deprived communities,” he said. “About the subject of nutrition, 108,313 people have also been trained.”
Kashif Siddiqui also met Dr Akhtar Ali Abro, Deputy Programme Coordinator in AAP-Livestock.
