Abducted Ali Haider Gilani makes first contact in two years
MULTAN (92 News) – Abducted son of former prime minister (PM) Yousaf Raza Gilani, Ali Haider Gilani on Sunday contacted father and talked for about 8 minutes nearly two years after his capture.
As per reports, the former PM received a call from the abductors from an Afghanistan number before handing the phone to his son who assured his father of being alright. He revealed that he would soon be released from the captivity and that no harm has been done to him.
Yousaf Gilani said the abductors made some demands. However, he did not reveal those demands. “I spoke to him, he is alright. Now I have to talk to Afghan authorities for the release of my son,” he said.
Earlier, Ali Haider Gilani was kidnapped when arrived at an election rally in Multan on May 9, 2013.
