1.5 million Pakistani youth lost jobs due to pandemic during three months: ADB

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as 1.5 million youth have lost their jobs due to the coronavirus pandemic during the last three months. According to a report released by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), unemployment has increased in Pakistan due to the pandemic. It is being feared that unemployed people could reach 2.2 million in six months. The ADB report said that about 10 million youth could be unemployed in Asian countries in three months, while they could reach 15 million in six months. It stated that unemployment had also increased in Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and Vietnam.
