PESHAWAR (92 News) – Ten people were killed and 11 others injured in fog-related accidents in separate incidents on early Tuesday. Intense fog engulfed several cities, including Peshawar, Multan, Khanewal and others plain areas of the country. Traffic came to a standstill due to almost zero visibility on Motorway. The authorities have closed the Motorway from Peshawar to Swabi. Moreover, the Motorway from Multan to Khanewal was also closed. The authorities have asked the people to avoid unnecessary travel. Peshawar-Swabi Motorway section (M1) was closed for all kind of traffic on early due to intense fog. The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving at very slow speed as the visibility was dropped to zero metres due to dense fog. The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling as visibility was down to zero metres due to heavy fog. On the other hand, Lahore including Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are being received intermittent rain. Snowfalls over the hills have been received from different parts of the country. People are facing shortage of food items due to lack of transport. Meanwhile, power supply to the affected areas has been suspended.
