KARACHI (92 News) – As many as 12 people were killed in rain-related incidents across the city on Saturday. The rain belied the tall claims of the administration, inundating low-lying areas in the city. On the other hand, the birthplace of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah gave a Venice-like look due to the rainwater accumulated in it. Meanwhile, the power suspended during the heavy rain could not be restored even several hours after it. Owing to power breakdown, the city is facing severe water shortage. 92 News team visited every nook and corner of the city and highlighted the plight of the citizens. The administration seems to be oblivious of the problems of the people. Citizens told 92 News that the K-Electric staff had disappeared from their offices. They said that the officials had parked the vehicles outside the offices instead of rectifying the problems and restoring the power supply.
