53 killed, over 100 injured in suicide attack near Shah Noorani's shrine in Khuzdar

HUB (92 News) – At least 53 people, including women, have been killed while many others were injured in a suicide bomb blast near the shrine of Shah Noorani in Khuzdar District of Balochistan on Saturday. According to Balochistan home minister, 53 people were killed while over 100, including women and children, were critically injured. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals while the rescue teams and ambulances reached the site and cordoned off the area. An emergency was declared in all the government hospitals of Karachi after the blast. The administrator of the shrine said that a contact could not be established with the people due to the absence of mobile network. According to Balochistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, helicopters could not be used for rescue services due to dark. Balochistan has also been put on security high alert after the blast, he said. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, PTI chairman Imran Khan, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Pakistan People's Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto condemned  the blast.
