10 passengers injured after Rehman Baba Express derails near TT Singh

Toba Tek Singh (92 News) - At least 10 passengers were injured after Karachi-bound Rehman Baba Express derailed near Toba Tek Singh city of Punjab early on Friday. The passenger train's engine and four bogies derailed while on way to Karachi from Faisalabad. The injured were pulled out of the derailed coaches and shifted to the T T Singh district headquarters hospital. Police and rescuers were at scene for rescue and relief operations. The train service on the track was immediately suspended for further operations and till track clearance. Pakistan Railways' authorities have ordered detailed investigation into the mishap. Later, the remaining passengers were sent to their destination on alternate Shah Hussain Express. The railways authorities revived the track after a couple of hours.
