100 new cases of dengue reported in federal capital during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - A sharp increase has been witnessed in the dengue cases in federal capital. 100 new cases of dengue have been reported during last 24 hours.

According to District Health Officer Islamabad, 101 people have been diagnosed with dengue virus in the last 24 hours. 55 cases have been reported in rural areas while 46 cases have been reported in urban areas.

DHO said that the number of people affected by dengue has reached 3, 343 whereas 625 patients are under treatment at PIMS Hospital, 81 at CDA Hospital and 114 at Polyclinic. So far 7 people have lost their lives due to dengue.

The number of dengue and malaria patients is also increasing in Attock. Currently, 49 patients are admitted in District Hospital Attock. The health department said that the number of dengue patients in Attock has reached 74.
