11.9% inflation per month is confession of economic destruction: Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has said that 11.9 percent inflation per month is confession of economic destruction.

In a statement on Wednesday, he said that people are committing suicide due to inflation and unemployment. "This fire will not be extinguished by mere statements by the government," he added.

He said that the inflation was all-time high in 13 years. "A cut in the petrol prices is just a 'lollypop'. People have no trust in the government dropping the inflation bomb on them. Under the IMF conditions, the government will have to increase the Petroleum Levy by Rs4 per month," he maintained.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the nation is not ready to tolerate the cruel coterie. "The people are not getting the facilities of medicines and treatment. The people's complaints are increasing, but there is no one to listen to them," he added.
