13 suspected coronavirus cases surface in Islamabad’s Bhara Kahu

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as 13 suspected coronavirus cases have been surfaced in Islamabad’s Bhara Kahu area on Monday. According to the ASP Hamza Amanullah, five more members of a Tableeghi Jamaat in Bhara Kahu area have tested positive for coronavirus. A group of 13 people, including six foreigners, were sitting in tableegh in Kot Hathial, the official said, adding that one of the foreigners had tested positive for the coronavirus earlier. “We tested five more people from the group and the results came back positive,” ASP Hamza said. He added that six more people from the group are also being tested. It was also reported that all the area turned into quarantine centres. Balochistan has reported its first coronavirus death, taking the country’s tally to six, according to government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani. Taking to Twitter, he said that the patient, who was 65 years-old, died at Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital in Quetta. Speaking to the journalists, Provincial Chief Secretary Fazeel Asghar assured that the provincial government planned to construct five thousands rooms which project will be completed within three months. He also advised to take precautionary measures for those persons whose tests are negative from coronavirus. “If everyone will stay at homes than this coronavirus can be curbed,” he added. The number of novel coronavirus cases has risen to 803 with 147 more COVID-19 cases reported in the country over the last 24 hours. 352 cases have been surfaced in Sindh, 225 in Punjab, 108 in Balochistan, 31 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 71 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 15 in Islamabad; and one in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. So far a total of six coronavirus-related deaths have been reported while five patients have recovered.
