13th CJCSC Open Golf Championship starts in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) - The 13th Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Open Golf Championship started at Karachi Golf Club (KGC) on Saturday.

Commander Karachi Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem was the chief guest on the occasion.

During the opening ceremony, Services Sports Control Board President Rear Admiral Abdul Basit highlighted the significance of the championship scheduled from December 9 to 12.

This year the championship will be played in professionals, senior professionals, junior professionals, amateurs, seniors, ladies and juniors categories. Such events provide a unique opportunity to showcase Pakistan's positive image to the world as a sports loving nation.

This also helps to generate healthy activities in the society. Regular conduct of this event is the manifestation of PN's commitment towards the promotion of golf at national and international levels.

The opening ceremony was attended by civil and military dignitaries, sponsors, golf players and media representatives.
