14 killed, 63 injured in accident on Motorway near Kalar Kahar

KALAR KAHAR (92 News) - As many as 14 people were killed and 63 injured in an accident on Lahore-Islamabad Motorway near Kalar Kahar on Sunday night.

The ill-fated bus carrying wedding guests was traveling from Islamabad to Lahore when it overturned after bursting of tyre. The bus broke the fence and ran into two cars and a pick-up in the opposite direction.

As a result, 14 people, including six women, were killed and 63 people were injured. According to Rescue sources, the condition of several injured is stated to be critical.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz have expressed regret over the accident.
