15 officers, 81 soldiers awarded Tamgha-i-Basalat

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – An impressive Corps Investiture Ceremony was held at GHQ Auditorium, Rawalpindi, on Wednesday. Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Malik Zafar Iqbal, was the chief guest on the occasion. Corps Commander conferred the awards of Tamgha-i-Basalat, Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha -i-Imtiaz (Military) on Army officers and soldiers and congratulated them on achieving this honour. 15 Officers and 81 Soldiers were awarded Tamgha -i-Basalat, including next of kin of one martyred officer and 76 martyred soldiers, for their sacrifices during Operation Zarb-e-Azab. Forty-six officers were awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and 106 Officers were awarded Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) on the occasion of Pakistan Day for rendering meritorious services to the nation. A large number of senior military officials and families of awardees attended the ceremony.
