158 dengue cases reported in Punjab during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A sharp increase has been witnessed in the dengue cases across Punjab after Sindh.

During the last 24 hours, 158 cases have been reported in the province. As per the break-up, 79 cases were reported in Lahore, 178 in Rawalpindi, 113 in Islamabad. The total number of the affected people is 2,923.

According to the District Health Officer, 58 new cases were reported from rural areas and 55 dengue patients were reported from urban areas during the last 24 hours. 155 dengue patients are under treatment in PIMS hospital. The number of dengue patients in the polyclinic has increased to 34 and four people have lost their lives due to dengue in the city.
