MULTAN (92 News) - |The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) caught 161 power thieves besides registering 126 cases during the ongoing crackdown across the region.

In Muzaffargarh, a land lord attacked a MEPCO team and threatened the staffers with dire consequences for detecting the power theft. Later, the police registered a case against the culprits.

In Kasur, over 1,000 connections were disconnected for power theft.

In Peshawar, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Task Force held a meeting and decided to start a crackdown against factories, business centres, hotels and marriage halls after smashing the 'kund' system at a large scale.
