169 new cases of dengue reported in twin cities during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as more 169 people fell prey to dengue fever in the twin cities during last 24 hours, exceeding the total patients to 6,000.

According to the Islamabad district health officer, 94 new cases of dengue fever were reported in the city. Fifty-six cases of dengue fever in rural areas and 38 cases in urban areas were reported.

The total number of dengue cases reached at 3,737. Eleven people have so far lost their lives due to the dengue fever.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi district health officer said that 75 cases of dengue fever were reported in Allied Hospital, 37 in Holy Family Hospital, 17 in Benazir Hospital and 21 cases in DHQ hospital. The condition of seven patients is stated to be critical.

On the other hand, the numbers of beds have been increased in the hospitals of Lahore for dengue patients. 2,729 beds are specified for dengue patients.494 dengue patients were reported in Punjab and 183 in KPK.

An eight-month-old child lost his life due to the dengue fever at Children Hospital Lahore.
