17 children among 27 injured by stray dogs in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) – As 27 people, including 17 children, were injured by stray dogs in the city and adjoining areas during the last 24 hours. A stray dog attacked 23 people in Qainchi Bazaar, Kot Lakhpat. Two people were injured by stray dogs in Bedian Road area. The injured people have been shifted to General Hospital. According to the statistics provided by Anti-Rabies Centre, 13,767 people were injured by stray dogs in 2018. In 2019, 17,600 people were shifted to anti-rabies centres. During the first fortnight of the new year, 670 people have been injured by stray dogs. There is only one ant-rabies centre in Lahore where about 150 people daily visit for vaccination.
