17 deaths, 674 cornavirus cases reported in Punjab in last 24 hours

LAHORE (News) – As many as 674 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic reported in Punjab in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infections thus far reported in the province to 85,261. According to health officials, 17 more people lost their lives due to this pandemic, pushing the provincial death toll to 1,972. More than 52,000 patients have recuperated from the highly contagious disease in the province. 572,948 Covid-19 tests have been conducted so far. According to district-wise breakdown of new cases, Lahore reported 305, Nankana Sahib one, Shiekhupura 10, Rawalpindi 51, Gujranwala 16, Sialkot 21, Narowal 13, Gujrat 24, Mandibahuddin 12, Multan 38, Khanewal eight, and Vehari eight. Faisalabad reported 62, Toba Tek Singh eight, Jhang one, Rahim Yar Khan four, Sargodha eight, Mianwali four, Khushab four, Bhakkar two, Bahawalnagar four, Bahawalpur 14, Lodhran four, DG Khan 17, Muzaffargarh one, Rajanpur 20, Layyah two, Sahiwal four, and Okara one. On the other hand,  75 more people lost their lives in Pakistan during the past 24 hours due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), taking the death toll to 5,058. According to the NCOC, the country reported 2,775 coronavirus cases and 75 deaths over the past 24 hours, taking the national tally of infections to 243,623 and fatalities to 5,058. 2,775 new cases were detected after 23,255 tests were conducted in the previous 24 hours, according to the National Command and Operation Centre. 89,449 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment while 149,092 patients have recuperated from the disease. 15,148,58 tests have been conducted across the country so far.
