17-Year-old girl burned alive by her mother buried

LAHORE (92 News) – The girl who was burned alive by her mother for marrying the man she was in love with has been buried at a local graveyard in provincial capital’s Factory area on Thursday. The husband of the deceased girl Hassan said that the brother and brother-in-law of his deceased wife Zeenat were threatening them of dire consequences. Father-in-law of the deceased girl said that they would have sent the girl to her mother’s house if they had any idea that they would kill her. The funeral prayer of the girl were offered in the presence of the police. Previously, a woman burned alive her 17-year-old daughter after dousing her with kerosene, because the girl had married a man she was in love with. Police have arrested Parveen who allegedly confessed to tying up her daughter Zeenat to a cot and with the help of her son, Ahmar Rafi, poured the oil on the girl and set her ablaze.
