53 wounded in jubilant fire on New Year’s eve

LAHORE/KARACHI (92 News) – As many as 53 people were injured in jubilant firing on the eve of New Year in Lahore and Karachi. In Lahore, 34 people were wounded after being hit by stray bullets. The injured were shifted to different hospitals. In Karachi, 19 people, including a seven-year-old girl, were injured and taken to different hospitals. Several youths fell into a drain during a stampede at Five Star Chowrangi. Meanwhile, policemen also resorted to aerial firing in front of the Docks police station. The office of DIG CIA also exists there. The police have taken no action against their colleagues.
