193 Pakistanis stranded in India reach homeland via Wagah

LAHORE (92 News) – As many as 193 stranded Pakistanis reached homeland from India via Wagah on Tuesday. The spokesman for the Pakistan High Commission in India said that Pakistanis were besieged in 25 cities of India due to lockdown. He said that the stranded Pakistanis have been sent to homeland with the cooperation of the Indian Ministry for External Affairs. “The Pakistanis had gone to India for visiting shrines, tourism and medical treatment,” he said. The spokesman said that so far 243 Pakistanis have been repatriated from India. Meanwhile, 221 stranded Pakistani nationals were repatriated from Nairobi, Kenya to Karachi via PIA flight 8762, says a press release received from Nairobi. The stranded Pakistanis were seen off by the High Commissioner and her team. They bid farewell with warm wishes for the safe return of the stranded Pakistanis. The High Commissioner lauded the coordinated efforts by the Pakistan government, Foreign Ministry, PIA, Abdul Qadir Umar, Head of Pangani Tablighi Markaz and Government of Kenya for making the repatriation a possible.
