20 accused of May 9 tragedy released before Eid

LAHORE (92 News) - The authorities released 20 accused of the May 9 tragedy, who had been in the custody of the Army, before the Eid on Tuesday.

COAS Asim Munir has reprieved the sentence of these accused on humanitarian basis before Eid. Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan has informed the Supreme Court in this regard in writing.

The released accused are: eight from Rawalpindi, five from Gujranwala, three each from Lahore and Dir and one from Mardan.
