ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has announced that 200,000 scholarships will be awarded over the next 4 years through ‘Ehsaas’ Undergraduate Scholarship program. The prime minister took his twitter and said that he will launch the largest ever needs-based undergraduate scholarship programme in the history of Pakistan today. He also said that 200,000 scholarships will be awarded over the next 4 years, 50,000 every year, 50 percent of these for women to promote human capital development under his Ehsaas program. “I will launch the largest ever needs-based undergraduate scholarship programme in the history of Pakistan today. 200,000 scholarships will be awarded over the next 4 years, 50,000 every year, 50% of these for women to promote human capital development under my @Ehsaas_Pk Umbrella,” Imran Khan tweeted.   PM Khan will launch ‘Ehsaas’ Undergraduate Scholarship program today. It is the largest undergraduate scholarship program ever launched in the history of Pakistan. Under this program at least fifty thousand scholarships annually will be given to the deserving students. Fifty per cent scholarships will be given to the female students. The students admitted on merit at any public sector university can apply for the scholarship by 10th of next month. Earlier on Oct 30, the special assistant said Ehsas undergraduate programme will be launched next month and the cabinet approved giving 50,000 scholarships in next four years. She said scholarships will be awarded on merit-cum need basis and deserving students of 120 public sector universities will be eligible for the award. She said children hailing from a family with an income of less than 45,000 rupees will be eligible for the programme.
