DG KHAN (92 News) – Twenty-one people were killed after two passengers buses collided on Dera Ghazi Khan’s Multan Road on Sunday night. Both the drivers died on the spot. At least 26 people have been injured, of whom five are in critical condition. According to DG Khan Commissioner Tahir Khursheed that accident occurred after the driver of the bus, travelling from Muzaffargarh to Karachi, lost control of the vehicle after trying to avoid a collision with a motorcyclist. The bus ended up smashing into another bus that was travelling from DG Khan to Multan. The passengers were travelling to Multan after attending a majalis held before the Chelum of Imam Hussain (RA). Twelve of the victims were from the same family. Three of the passengers who died were brothers and worked in solid waste management. The injured have been shifted to Teaching Hospital. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar expressed sorrow over the accident and asked the commissioner to submit a report. Several passengers were on the side of the road during the incident as the driver sought help to change the tyre, while others were waiting inside the vehicle.
