21-member Punjab cabinet takes oath

LAHORE (92 News) - A 21-member Punjab Cabinet took oath in Lahore today on Saturday.

Punjab Governor Muhammad Baleegh-ur-Rehman administered oath to the provincial cabinet in a simple but graceful ceremony at Governor's House. Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi was also present in the ceremony, he congratulated the provincial ministers who took oath.

Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that the provincial ministers will perform their duties well. It is hoped that the provincial ministers will work day and night to serve the people and fulfill their expectations.

He said that the ministers will spare no effort in serving the people. The focus of our actions is the welfare of the poor people. All possible measures will be taken to provide relief to the common man.

Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi allotted portfolios to the nominated ministers. Mian Aslam Iqbal has been given the Ministry of Housing and Industries, and Ali Abbas Shah the Ministry of Forests and Wildlife. Sardar Mohsin Leghari has been given the finance department, while Taimur Malik has been given the sports and culture department.

By changing the ministry of Raja Basharat, he has been given the department of cooperative and prosecution. Raja Yasir Humayun has been given the Higher Education and Information Technology, Labor Niazi and Munib Cheema Transport. Livestock was given to Shahabuddin, School Education to Murad Ras and Health Department to Dr. Yasmin Rashid.

Khurram Wark has been given the charge of law and parliamentary affairs, Hashim Dogar has been given the department of home and prisons, and Asif Nakai has been given the department of excise. Communication and Works was given to Ali Sahi, Finance Department to Nawabzada Mansoor Ali Khan, Agriculture to Hussain Jahanian Gardizi and Social Welfare to Ghazanfar Abbas Chheena.

Latif Nazr has been given the Department of Mines and Minerals, Hasnain Bahadur Dareshak the Department of Energy and Food, Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid has been given the Department of Local Government.
