214 Hajj pilgrims depart for Saudi Arabia from Lahore airport

LAHORE (92 News) – The first batch of 214 Hajj pilgrims departed for Madina (Saudi Arabia) through a private airline from the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Thursday. Punjab Religious and Auqaf Minister Syed Saeedul Hassan Gilani was present at the time of Hajjis’ departure for the biggest-ever religious conglomeration for Muslim Ummah. Special prayers were offered before the flight took off for Saudi Arabia. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said he thanked Pakistan and Saudi Arabia for making best-available arrangements for Hajjis. He said all possible facilities would be provided to the Hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. “I am feeling honoured and lucky to saying goodbye to Hajjis who are leaving for Madina for greatest cause. I appeal them to offer special prayers for the better future of Pakistan,” Hassan said. Second flight carrying 350 pilgrims will shortly depart from Islamabad today. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri inaugurated Road to Makkah counter at the Islamabad airport.
