223 people struck in flood rescued in Shakargarh

SHAKARGARH (92 News) - Over 200 people struck in flood were rescued by the personnel of Rangers and Rescue 1122 on Monday.

The people who were busy farming were stuck in the flood after India released water in the Ravi River.

The prime minister appreciated the Rangers and Rescue 1122 officials for taking timely action and rescuing the trapped people.

The Narowal DCO said that over 300 people have been shifted to safer places so far.

On the other hand, the authorities are demolishing illegal houses and encroachments around the Ravi River.
