223rd Urs celebrations of great Sufi poet Hazrat Pir Waris Shah underway

SHEIKHUPURA (92 News) – The 223rd Urs celebrations of the great Punjabi saint Hazrat Pir Waris Shah continued in Jandiala Sher Khan on Saturday.

Thousands of devotees paid tributes to the saint to great Sufi saint who wrote marvellous book 'Heer Ranjha'. They danced to beat of drums and distributed 'langar'.

The devotees said that they feel spiritual satisfaction at the shrine. "His poetry gives the lesson of peace and love," they opined.

The Heer reciting contests were held on the final day. Stringent security arrangements were made on the occasion.
