June 14, 2019
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto has termed the arrest of Faryal Talpur as political revenge. Addressing a press conference on Friday, he said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was created for political revenge and political engineering. He said that the government was hell-bent on revengeful activities against political opponents. “A conspiracy was hatched against NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal from PM House,” he added. The PPP chairman said that former dictator Pervez Musharraf had attacked the judiciary and the puppet Imran Khan was doing the same today. “The government is using tools against the opposition. Bilawal Bhutto said that blackmailing is the old method of Ijaz Shah. “The government is committing the economic murder of the poor,” he said. He predicted that the government is about to collapse. “The people are questioning as why the dollar price has increased,” he said. “This all is being done to divert attention from terrorism.” The PPP chairman said that they want the government should complete its tenure. “There will be anarchy in the country if political leadership will be in jail,” he maintained. He said that the coward rulers violating the sanctity of the house are at the helm. Bilawal demanded that investigations should be started into the matter how the NAB chairman was pressurized.
Bilawal says won't accept ‘anti-people’ budget
On Tuesday, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari stated that the government is trying to distract the masses from rising inflation by arresting political opponents in the name of accountability. Talking to the journalists, he said the opposition resorted to protest during Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azhar’s budget speech in the lower house after realising that masses are being burdened with more taxes. He also announced that they will not accept the anti-people budget. Expressing displeasure over what he described as an ‘anti-people’ budget, the PPP chairman on Tuesday said they would try their best that it does not get passed by the National Assembly. Bilawal said the recent arrests of the elected representatives were made in a bid to divert attention from the ‘anti-people’ budget.
