280th annual Urs of great Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai starts

BHIT SHAH (92 News) - The 280th Urs of great Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai started on Friday.

Sindh Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs Umar Soomro and Culture Minister Syed Junaid Ali Shah inaugurated the Urs by laying a 'chaddar' on the shrine.

A large number of devotees from all over the country paid respect at the shrine of the great saint. Foolproof security arrangements have been made on the occasion. The Sindh government has announced a public holiday across the province.

Speaking on the occasion, the ministers said that Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai is the proud of Islam, Pakistan and Sindh. "We hope that the people will follows the teachings of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai," he added.
